Delia Bell, Artist Bio
I first tried my hand at pottery in the Spring of 2019 when, on a whim, I took Bob Banker’s Ceramics 1 at Rochester Community and Technical College. I was completely mesmerized by clay and everything that you could do with it. I went on to apprentice with Mary Denzer at Seven Bridges Pottery in Houston, MN and have been working as a potter in her studio ever since.
My work consists of mostly wheel thrown vessels that are meant to be functional. Although I do like to experiment with other clay bodies, construction methods, and various decoration techniques. My work is always evolving, but ultimately I want to create pottery that people both appreciate as a piece of art and will make use of in their everyday lives. All of my work is fired to cone 10 (2350℉) in a gas kiln, it’s very durable, microwave/dishwasher safe, and made with lead-free glazes.
