Nicole Burk, Artist Bio

I make stained glass mosaics in my little studio primarily representing flowers and nature and weird little animals. I started with house numbers and have expanded to not house numbers.

Chasing a reasonable representation of nature has been a lifelong frustration for me and I hate being frustrated so I keep doing it so one day I won’t be frustrated. Highlighting the perfect imperfections of art glass has consumed me. My only concern and joy is how to make my representation of the natural world reflect the beauty of it in all its variety.

I also dabble in what I call Rustic Rosemaling, a self taught stubborn and frugal Norwegian, I paint rosemales and flowers on antique wood from construction projects and fine woodworking studios.
