About Jovy Rockey Jewelry/ORNO Gift + Home
My work is inspired by my appreciation for modernism mingled with organic elements influenced by my Filipino heritage. You’ll see the use of curves, geometric shapes, texture, and negative space throughout my designs. I primarily work with Sterling Silver, Brass, and Gold along with semiprecious gemstones, and often mix metals in my designs. I craft my pieces using traditional metalsmithing methods, cold connections, and hand-forging.
Jovy Rockey is a jewelry artist and curator from Winona, MN. Her studio is located in beautiful Downtown Winona and adjoined by her brick-and-mortar store, ORNO Gift + Home, where she curates the work of many artists and makers from MN and around the world. Jovy hand fabricates all of her jewelry using traditional metalsmithing techniques. Each piece is made to elevate and make the wearer feel more confident and beautiful. During the BCSAT you’ll be able to experience a variety of works that are offered in ORNO and a large collection of Jovy’s own work. You’ll be able to get a peek into her large working studio where she crafts her work and teaches a variety of workshops.
